These Escrow & Payment Terms explain how payments are handled between Members on Wakeeza.com. They form part of, and should be read together with, our Terms of Service and Refund & Dispute Resolution Policy.
All transactions are processed in South African Rand (ZAR). Applicable escrow, listing, and commission fees are displayed before you confirm a transaction. Fees are deducted before funds are released to the provider or seller.
Clients are expected to confirm completion within [TODO: X days] of delivery. If no dispute is raised within this window, funds may be automatically released to the provider or seller. We recommend inspecting goods or reviewing completed work promptly to preserve your right to dispute.
Payment processing, including the secure holding of escrow funds, is carried out by our appointed third-party payment service provider [TODO: provider name]. Wakeeza.com does not store your full card or banking credentials; these are handled directly by the payment provider in accordance with applicable payment industry security standards. By using the Platform's payment features you also agree to that provider's terms and privacy practices.
We are not liable for delays caused by the payment provider, your bank, or incorrect banking details supplied by you. Chargebacks or payment reversals initiated outside the Platform's dispute process may result in account suspension pending investigation, as this circumvents the protection escrow is designed to provide to both parties.
Refunds from escrow are handled under our Refund & Dispute Resolution Policy. Wakeeza.com's platform fees are generally non-refundable once a transaction has been initiated, except where the transaction did not proceed due to our error.
We may request additional identity or banking verification before releasing funds where fraud is suspected, and may withhold or reverse a release, or suspend an account, where we reasonably believe a transaction is fraudulent, unlawful, or in breach of our Acceptable Use Policy.
Wakeeza.com facilitates the escrow arrangement but is not a bank, and does not guarantee the solvency of the payment service provider. Our liability in connection with escrow-held funds is limited as set out in our Terms of Service.
